Just under a year has passed since 2021's CYBERISLE cyber-security conference and we would like to extend our thanks and gratitude to all those who took part and attended. None of this could have been possible without our platinum sponsor - Riela Cyber - and gold sponsor - Manx Telecom - as well as all the other organisations that presented and attended at the trade-stands.
We would also like to thank the volunteers from University College Isle of Man (UCM) who assisted in making sure our attendees were all checked in and supplied with CYBERISLE goodies.
So, what did this year's CYBERISLE event have to offer?
The day was packed full of world-class speakers presenting on a wide range of cyber-security and information assurance topics, with sponsored breaks and lunch provided by CK Catering.
This year’s theme was ‘resilience’ and explored the many practises and considerations involved with ensuring businesses of any size have the skills, knowledge and processes in place to better protect their organisation against an ever-evolving cyber-threat landscape.
Throughout the day, attendees were taken through the scenario of a fictitious local business and their struggles with an incident that could happen to any organisation if they are not adequately prepared. Each presentation focused on a different topic, providing expert insight into the various factors to consider when dealing with an incident; from identification and detection to response and recovery.
The feedback we have received so far has been extremely positive and we hope those who could make it to the event left having learnt something new.
